About the role

As a Game Content Specialist, you will be responsible for the Game Content Translation, Version Control with Git and Code Modification and Adaptation. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic environment on engaging projects related to the gaming industry. Candidates with additional technical skills will have a competitive edge during the selection process.

Responsibilities

• Integrate and implement pre-translated game content, including instructions, descriptions, and user interfaces into the game system.
• Process and import text translations in JSON format, ensuring proper data structure and file integrity.
• Utilize Git to track changes in localization files and manage version history across multiple language versions.
• Manage different Git branches for various localization builds, applying updates and reverting changes as needed.
• Adapt HTML and CSS code to accommodate text length variations and layout requirements for different languages.
• Implement technical modifications to support proper text display, character encoding, and formatting across markets.
• Verify technical accuracy of implemented translations, ensuring proper formatting, variables, and placeholder integrity.
• Effectively prioritize and manage implementation tasks to meet project deadlines and release schedules.
• Actively participate in game content testing to identify technical and display issues with localized content.
• Collaborate closely with developers, designers, and translators to resolve technical bugs and optimize text integration.
• Maintain and update localization file templates, formatting guidelines, and technical documentation.
• Document and report technical bugs such as text overflow, broken variables, encoding issues, or display problems during QA phase.

Requirements

• Strong working knowledge of JSON structure and industry-standard localization tools.
• Basic knowledge of HTML and CSS to facilitate technical adjustments to text files.
• Proficiency in using Git for version control and collaborative file management.
• ·Excellent command of the English language, with superior written and verbal skills.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing error-free work.
• Excellent communication skills, capable of articulating technical issues to non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong teamwork and collaboration abilities within a cross-functional environment.
