Automation QA Engineer with Java

Responsibilities

• Analyze requirements to design and implement robust tests and automate them
• Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts using industry-standard frameworks, including Playwright for UI automation and Rest Assured / Rest Sharp for API automation
• Collaborate closely with developers, business analysts, and other stakeholders to integrate automation into the development lifecycle and enhance software quality
• Perform various types of automated testing, including functional, regression, and integration testing
• Identify, document, and track defects, working with development teams to resolve issues efficiently
• Enhance and maintain automation frameworks to improve efficiency, scalability, and maintainability
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in test automation
• Good programming skills in Java
• Hands-on experience with UI automation frameworks such as Selenium or Playwright
• Experience in API automation, particularly using RestAssured or RestSharp
• Solid understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and automated testing methodologies
• Familiarity with test management and defect tracking tools like JIRA (Xray), TestRail, or similar
• Experience with version control systems (Git) and CI/CD processes for automated test execution
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
