QA Automation Engineer

About the Role

We’re looking for a motivated and detail-oriented QA Automation Engineer to join our growing team. In this role, you’ll contribute to the development and maintenance of automated tests across web, mobile, and API platforms. You’ll work closely with experienced QA professionals and follow industry best practices—including strict adherence to the Page Object Model (POM)—to ensure clean, scalable, and maintainable test code.

Your Tech Environment:

• Web/API: Playwright (TypeScript/JavaScript)
• Mobile: Appium (Java)
• Frameworks: Custom-built, based on the Page Object Model (POM)

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain UI automation for web applications using Playwright.
• Write and execute API tests using Playwright’s API capabilities.
• Build and support mobile automation tests using Appium (Java).
• Implement and maintain automation code following POM principles.
• Participate in sprint planning and other Agile ceremonies.
• Collaborate in code reviews and maintain test documentation Investigate, reproduce, and log defects clearly.

Requirements:

• Solid foundation in Java and/or TypeScript/JavaScript.
• Familiarity with Playwright or similar testing frameworks.
• Exposure to Appium for mobile automation or interest in learning.
• Understanding of REST APIs and testing methodologies.
• Version control experience with Git.
• Knowledge of CI/CD tools and processes.
• Willingness to write clean, reusable, and well-structured automation code.

Nice to Have:

• Experience testing native mobile apps (Android/iOS).
• Familiarity with BDD tools (e.g., Cucumber, SpecFlow).
• Passion for software quality and continuous improvement.
