The Role
At EDITED, you’ll be part of our Product and Engineering team, working closely with other ETL developers, Solution Architects, Client Deployment Managers and DevOps team to create data-driven solutions to our customers’ problems. We’ve got huge scope to innovate and we always welcome fresh perspectives. You’ll be able to make a big impact, and learn a huge amount during your time at EDITED.
Responsibilities:
Perform assessments of integration requirements with regards to their complexity, consistency, risks and development time
Design complex ETL processes that are highly performant and meet enterprise standards for availability and fault tolerance
Performance tuning and troubleshooting ETL processes under development and in production as needed
Debug mappings, transformations, joblets, custom Talend routines and testing the developed ETL components
Define and ensure adherence to best practices for ETL development
Review documentation for ETL processes and ensure consistency of implementation
Communicates with other IT groups in implementing the releases/applications
RequirementsEssential:
2-3 years experience as an ETL Developer or similar role
Experience with ETL tools – preferably Talend but we’re interested in hearing what else you’ve used
Solid understanding of Java
Strong SQL skills
Fluent in English (written and verbal)
Nice to have:
Experience with Hadoop
Experience integrating with 3rd parties through APIs (REST is preferable)
Familiarity with E-commerce OMS Systems, web analytics systems
