    The Security Information Services for Large Platform environment are intended to ensure the availability, integrity and confidentiality of data information by protecting against internal and external threats and inadvertent or malicious actions. The security team protects the mainframe environment by using tools such as RACF, ACF2 or Top Secret or native commands on AS400 or Nonstop to grant/remove access and mitigate risks to client systems.

    Job specifics/responsibilities:

    • Support personnel will have knowledge of Level 2 tasks. They will be able to provide consulting on a wide variety of issues for the products they support.  They will interact at a yet more detailed level with accounts and clients as required, and provide more direct project consulting and leadership.
    • Execute database re-orgs as required, modify global security options, and work with other technical support groups to implement security around system operation changes.
    • Provide digital certificate administration and management, SSH public/private keypairs management, cryptographic devices, application cryptographic keys periodic refresh.
    • Disaster recovery planning and exercise support, as required of the Level 3 team(s).
    • Interact at a more detailed level with accounts and clients as required, and provide project and consulting for our supported platforms and related tools, such as GCMS.  This work will vary from region to region, but will typically include reporting using native commands and REXX scripts, assessments, third party software tools, security awareness, transitioning new clients, mergers, conversions, consolidations, disengagements, and so on.
    • Work with client and account teams to gain understanding of incident or problem, and determine best course of action to restore service or address the security threat or vulnerability, as required of the Level 3 team(s).
    • Perform or assist with security-related root cause analysis, and determine best course of action for long term correction, as required of the Level 3 team(s).
    • Security Batch Job support.
    • Security/System configurations and upgrade verification and support.
    • Security user access administration support as escalated from lower levels.
    • Ensure required global process and procedure documentation is in place per corporate, client, and industry best practices for large platform security.
    • Ensure all security-related policies and procedures are followed at all times or that compensating controls (also documented) are in place at the global level.
    • Consulting and training is available.
    • Provide consulting and detailed security support for systems and software in their realm of responsibility.

    Key deliverables/accountabilities: (key deliverables the employee should be accountable of)

    • Ensure required global process and procedure documentation is in place per corporate, client, and industry best practices for large platform security.

    • Provide consulting and detailed security support for systems and software in their realm of responsibility.

    Education (degree) and professional experience required:

    • Mainframe experience is preferred

    Other requirements: (language and certification requirements, different than formal education)

    • Fluent in written and verbal English
    • Microsoft Office Suite
    • Understanding of mainframe functions
    • REXX coding

    Personal skills and qualities:

    • Mainframe RACF, ACF2 and Top Secret
    • AS400 or Nonstop experience
    • Time management
    • Professional business acumen
    • Self-driven
