Head of Technical Security Team

The specific position, which we are looking for is: Head of Technical Security Team

General duties:

• Lead, mentor, and develop a multi-skilled technical security team.

• Ensure secure configuration and hardening of servers, networks, workstations, mobile devices, virtualization, and cloud workloads.

• Oversee endpoint protection tools (EDR/XDR, anti-malware, encryption, MDM) and enforce baseline security.

• Maintain and improve logging and SIEM integrations; act as Tier-2 escalation for incidents.

• Conduct vulnerability assessments, coordinate patching, and support audits, compliance, and regulatory reporting (DORA, NIS2, ISO 27001, GDPR).

• Collaborate with SOC, IT Operations, GRC, and Application Security to maintain a resilient infrastructure.

Requirements:

• 5+ years in infrastructure or endpoint security, plus 2+ years of leadership experience (preferably in financial services).

• Strong technical skills: Windows/Linux security, networks, cloud (Azure/AWS), AD/Group Policy, virtualization, scripting/automation.

• Experience with security tools such as EDR/XDR platforms, firewalls, vulnerability scanners, and SIEM.

• Good understanding of regulatory frameworks and secure configuration standards (CIS Benchmarks, NIST).

• Fluency in Bulgarian and strong English communication skills.

• Relevant certifications (CISSP, CISM, GIAC, CCSP) are an advantage.
