    Join our team as a Software Engineering Manager, where you’ll step into a pivotal role within our established and globally distributed Platform Engineering Team. Your expertise will be instrumental in providing guidance, fostering collaboration, and ensuring the team’s continued success. This is an opportunity to contribute to the dynamic and innovative culture at DraftKings, leading a team of talented individuals to deliver impactful solutions in the ever-evolving world of technology.

    WHAT YOU’LL DO AS A SOFTWARE ENGINEERING MANAGER

    • Lead a team of DevOps engineers to deliver business-critical features.
    • Influence the product roadmap in collaboration with product owners and other stakeholders while building strong lines of communication.
    • Participate in and lead project planning and sprint planning activities, ensuring effective prioritization and resource utilization.
    • Demonstrate a commitment to continuous learning and improvement, mentoring team members for career growth through effective feedback.
    • Establish a safe environment with a transparent and collaborative team culture.
    • Inspire engineers to build testable, resilient, highly available, scalable, and innovative systems, emphasizing the importance of proper monitoring.
    • Actively participate in the implementation and maintenance of software alongside your team members.

    WHAT YOU’LL BRING

    • Ideally, you have at least 5 years of backend software development experience.
    • At least 2 years of experience in managing an engineering team.
    • Proficient in constructing high-quality and resilient systems.
    • Proficient in the .NET ecosystem, demonstrating a solid knowledge and hands-on application.
    • Practical exposure to distributed systems and the implementation of microservice architecture.
    • Expertise in containerization and familiarity with Kubernetes.
    • Familiarity with observability tools like Prometheus, Grafana, DataDog, Elasticsearch etc.
    • Thorough understanding of Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) practices.
