The Sports Team at Delasport is at the heart of our cutting-edge iGaming platform, where passion for sports meets the power of technology. As part of our dynamic Engineering Division, this team focuses on delivering world-class sports betting solutions with performance, scalability, and reliability at the forefront. Our goal is to provide sports enthusiasts with an unparalleled betting experience that is fast, secure, and engaging.

We work on high-performance, low-latency systems that handle millions of transactions, ensuring real-time updates for players.

How You’ll Make an Impact

• Collaborate with the Architecture Team: Work closely with architects to break down high-level architecture diagrams and give accurate estimates for work items, ensuring smooth communication across teams.
• Lead Project Initiatives: Start off complex projects by developing and testing approaches and proofs of concept (POCs). Provide guidance and alignment for engineering teams throughout active development.
• Exemplify Leadership: Be a role model throughout all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). Mentor team members, make thoughtful decisions, and lead by example.
• Enforce Standards and Best Practices: Implement and uphold coding standards, integrating the latest technologies and best practices across our Java engineering teams.
• Solve Complex Problems: Assist in troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues, drawing on your analytical mindset and strong problem-solving skills.
• Promote Knowledge Sharing: Cultivate a collaborative, knowledge-sharing culture that encourages continuous learning and improvement within and across teams.

Who You Are:

• Seasoned Pro with 5+ years of experience as a Senior Software Developer, Tech Lead, or similar role, showcasing strong leadership and team management skills.
• Java Expert: Proficient in Java (up to version 21), with a deep understanding of object-oriented programming and design patterns.
• Framework Savvy: Strong knowledge of Spring / Spring Boot, Kafka, and both SQL / NoSQL databases. Familiarity with concepts like distributed caching, scaling, and load balancing.
• Cloud Capable: Experienced in building and running high-performance, low-latency distributed systems in the cloud (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Communication Ace: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of explaining complex technical ideas to non-technical audiences.
• Analytical Mindset: Sharp problem-solving skills, ready to tackle complex technical challenges with confidence.
