    Position Overview

    Our client envisions creating a reliable, scalable, and user-friendly ticketing and streaming platform for high school sports.

    The goal is to ensure a seamless experience for parents, students, and fans in purchasing tickets and streaming live events. The platform will be easily accessible from any device, anywhere, at any time. By incorporating the latest technologies and adhering to best practices in software engineering, we aim to build a robust and secure platform that caters to the users’ needs.

    Our commitment includes ongoing improvements to the platform and providing exceptional customer support. Ultimately, we aspire to become the preferred platform for high school sports ticketing and streaming, fostering community engagement and support for local teams.

     

    Responsibilities

    • Act as a subject matter expert in specific areas of technology or domains relevant to our products, sharing knowledge and insights with the team
    • Collaborate with engineering and product leadership to define long-term technical strategies and roadmaps
    • Act as a technical point of contact for cross-functional teams and provide guidance on technical matters
    • Drive a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the engineering team
    • Promote a collaborative and inclusive work environment that values diversity and different perspectives
    • Lead by example in terms of code quality, software design, and adherence to coding standards
    • Drive architectural decisions and contribute to the overall software architecture
    • Influence technical decisions and advocate for best practices in software development across the organization
    • Represent the engineering team in meetings with stakeholders, articulating technical solutions and project progress

     

    Requirements

    • Strong Programming Skills in Python
    • Experience with cloud computing platforms in one or more (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform)
    • Strong programming skills in one or more programming languages (e.g., Go, Node, C++)
    • Strong understanding of HTTP-based adaptive video delivery formats (HLS, DASH), packaging, and delivery
    • Experience with computer vision libraries (e.g., OpenCV, Tesseract, TensorFlow, PyTorch)
