Senior C++ Developer with Expertise in Python

*This position is fully remote only for employment in Bulgaria. However, people can also work in one of our offices in Sofia or Varna if they prefer to.

For one of our projects, we’re looking for a Senior C++ Developer with Expertise in Python.

Position Overview

Our client is a division of the global business and financial news and information company, It’s a leading market index provider and is the owner and distributor of multiple financial services, a dynamic information network with data, news, and analytics including cash, derivatives markets, money markets, government and municipal bonds, currencies, commodities, mortgages, indices, insurance, and legal information.

The client is renowned for their cutting-edge fintech solutions. You will work inside the client’s Agile ecosystem with one of the multinational Scrum teams.

You will work on several projects, including enterprise console search (for over 3.5 billion daily events across registered feeds), connectivity and workflows for all client businesses and products, infrastructure for ingesting monitoring events, alerts, and notifications, permissions in search, search relevance optimizations, and gathering implicit and explicit feedback.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and modify existing C++ code
• Design and implement software using the C++ language
• Analyze business requirements and estimate development efforts required
• Identify missed requirements, requirement gaps, and functional bugs
• Follow release planning guidelines, peer code review, and other SDLC procedures
• Perform root cause analysis and propose corrective actions
• Review functional and design specifications in order to ensure a full understanding of deliverables
• Participate in project meetings and provide detailed status reports and updates on your deliverables
• Develop and maintain healthy collaborative relationships with other teams and colleagues

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience developing commercial applications on C ++
• 2+ years of experience in Python
• Excellent knowledge of OOA/OOD and knowledge of C ++ on the Linux platform
• Solid knowledge of computer networking, distributed applications, and Internet communication protocols
• Knowledge of SQL scripting and relational databases
• Understanding of Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA)
• Experience with dependency injection
• Experience with unit testing and TDD
• Ability to multitask and balance multiple projects and priorities with minimal supervision
• Algorithm tasks solving experience
• Spoken and written English
