Cubby’s mission is to empower self-storage operators – from small and medium family-owned businesses to large corporate clients – by streamlining operations, optimizing processes, and reducing administrative effort, so they can focus on growing their businesses.
We’re a B2B SaaS startup where analytics is a core product surface, not just an internal function. We deliver embedded customer reporting, internal dashboards, and data-backed product features built on shared analytical datasets.
Our data systems are early and evolving. Metrics are not yet fully standardized, pipelines have grown organically, and different use cases place different demands on latency, freshness, and scale. We’re intentionally not pursuing real-time everywhere. Instead, we want clear analytics standards, predictable data SLAs, and strong reliability, so both customers and internal teams can trust what they see.
We’re hiring а Senior Backend Engineer, Data & Reporting to establish an analytics-first data platform on GCP, with the judgment and ownership to evolve the architecture as needs become clearer.

A friendly “Get-to-Know” meeting – The meeting takes 45 minutes and is conducted by a member of our HR team. We will share more details about the project, as well as learn more about you, your technical skills and personal qualities.
Two technical interviews – The goal of this interview would be to assess your technical skills and evaluate whether you have everything required to be successful in the job.
Manager meeting – During this discussion you will get the opportunity to get to know your future manager, so you can both learn more about each other.
