    Tech Stack / Изисквания

    Overview:

We’re a fast-growing tech company building AI-native software for the self-storage industry. Backed by an exceptional group of investors, trusted customers, and 25+ leading industry advisors – including our recent $63M Series A – we have the resources and long-term mindset to build things the right way, scale thoughtfully, and create real impact.

Self-storage is the fastest growing asset class in commercial real estate – surpassing $65 billion annually in the U.S. last year. There are more than 77,000 self-storage properties in North America, operated by more than 35,000 independent business owners who provide service to tenants. Cubby’s mission is to empower self-storage operators – from small and medium family-owned businesses to large corporate clients – by streamlining operations, optimizing processes, and reducing administrative effort, so they can focus on growing their businesses.

We are looking for an Experienced Brand & Web Designer to join Cubby’s team. In this role, you will contribute to the development of novel products and systems from scratch that incorporate new and modern technologies.

    Responsibilities

We’re hiring a Brand & Web Designer to own how Cubby shows up in the world. This is not a product design role, you won’t be designing the application UI, though you’ll collaborate closely with our product design team and give each other feedback. Your ownership is purely on the marketing side: our website, brand identity, campaigns, sales materials, and everything that shapes how the market sees and experiences Cubby.

You’ll be the first person dedicated to this function, which means real ownership from day one. We need someone who can pick up any marketing design challenge — a landing page for a product launch, a booth design, a pitch deck for a partnership, a flyer for an event, a social campaign announcing a new feature — and deliver work that’s polished, thoughtful, and unmistakably on-brand.

    What You’ll Do

    • Evolve Cubby’s brand identity across the board: visual systems, typography, color, illustration style, photography direction, and tone of voice
    • Design and ship website landing pages that communicate Cubby’s story clearly and beautifully, partnering with engineering to build interactive, high-quality web experiences
    • Create brand guidelines and systems that empower the team to execute consistently across channels without bottlenecking on you
    • Design for impact across the customer journey, from awareness and acquisition to retention and advocacy: campaigns, event materials, sales decks, paid and organic digital content, e-books, and more
    • Elevate Cubby’s social presence with impactful visuals for static and video-based content
    • Build our internal brand presence, employee merchandise, office materials, and team swag that people actually want to wear and use
    • Own projects from concept to final execution, bringing ideas to life quickly, whether that’s a one-pager for a sales conversation, a booth design for an industry trade show, or a brand refresh for a product launch
    • Collaborate cross-functionally with product design, marketing, sales, and leadership to ensure brand and product feel like one cohesive experience
    • Build for scale, knowing that the systems you create today will need to support a much larger company tomorrow

    Requirements

    • 5+ years of brand design experience, ideally with a mix of in-house and agency work, and a portfolio that demonstrates range, craft, and strategic thinking
    • Strong visual design fundamentals: typography, layout, color theory, illustration, and motion, with an eye for detail and a bias toward clarity
    • Systems thinking: you don’t just design one-offs, you build frameworks that others can use and adapt
    • Comfort with ambiguity: you’re energized by blank canvases, not paralyzed by them
    • A storyteller at heart, able to translate abstract ideas into compelling visual narratives
    • Hands-on execution skills: you can art direct and delegate, but you’re also willing to roll up your sleeves and execute when needed
    • Detail oriented — you sweat the design details while also seeing the big picture
    • The ability to articulate and defend design decisions to senior leadership with precision, clarity, and respect
    • Collaborative instincts: you work well with non-designers, take feedback gracefully, and know when to push back with conviction
    • An understanding of how brand and product intersect, and how to make them feel like one unified experience
    • Proficiency in Figma, Adobe Creative Suite (including InDesign for print-ready files), and comfort working across both digital and print production workflows

Bonus: experience designing for mission-driven brands, experience at an early-stage or high-growth startup, familiarity with AI design tools, motion design, illustration, or web development basics (HTML/CSS, Webflow, Framer)

What you can expect if you join us

    • An excellent team environment surrounded by experienced high-impact peers in every function
    • Generous remuneration package
    • Additional health insurance
    • Multisport card
    • Development of novel product and systems from scratch, with a minimum of legacy integration work
    • Company-sponsored team building activities and events
    • Company-sponsored lunch once a week

What you can expect from the interview process

A friendly “Get-to-Know” meeting – The meeting takes 45 minutes and is conducted by a member of our HR team.

Two technical interviews – The goal of this interview would be to assess your technical skills and evaluate whether you have everything required to be successful in the job.
