As part of this strategy, Commerzbank continues the expansion of its Digital Technology Center in Sofia, Bulgaria. We need motivated people who will join us on this journey and we are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer / Technical Lead in our Accounts & Deposits team.

In this role you will take care that our multi-component solution is continuously modernized and at the same time is stable and reliable. To do this, we expect that you master all end-to-end technical flows, introduce DevOps practices in the software lifecycle and optimize all the operational activities around the solution.

Your responsibilities would consist of:

• Developing technical architectural specifications in compliance with overarching architectural principles from infrastructural and operatable perspective to make the application more resilient, more stable and future orientated;
• Contributing to the analysis of faults and errors, as an active contribution to the excellent operational stability of our applications;
• Assisting the Technical Product Manager in daily monitoring tasks and improve the manual monitoring processes focusing on automated monitoring processes;
• Integrating systems from the IT landscape of Commerzbank to realize the functionality of our own application; coordinating the activities with the responsible teams from different areas;
• Taking care of integrating 3rd party software into Commerzbank’s IT landscape;
• Being involved in the development of an automated deployment strategy, considering the standard CI CD solutions in Commerzbank;
• Assisting in developing a test automation strategy and supporting incorporating it in the CICD pipeline;
• Being our high-communication, technical contact for external software manufacturers for all implementation and architecture questions;
• Acting as a sparring partner of the product owner for all technical questions related to the technical specifications of the product, making you the Tech Lead in that project;
• Providing technical guardrails for ongoing and future implementation projects.

The skills and experience we would like you to have:

• Previous experience in the development and integration of applications and service architectures into corporate IT landscape;
• Experience in managing complex solutions, containing of various infrastructure components, 3rd party software and in-house developed applications;
• Fluency in German – both written and spoken;
• Experience in creating and maintaining Application Programming Interfaces;
• High knowledge and experience of DevOps practices and tools, including building and maintaining CICD pipelines;
• Knowledge and experience with following infrastructure technologies: WebServers, Messaging, Databases and Schedulers;
• Knowledge of JAVA and Spring Framework;
• Good analytic thinking with attention to details to identify, isolate and solve problems;
• Experience in agile process models and methods, especially Scrum, Kanban, as well as secure application knowledge of JIRA/Confluence;
• Experience with Dynatrace, Tivoli or other monitoring tools;
• Experience with log management solutions, such as the ELK stack;
• Fluency in English – both written and spoken;
• University degree in IT or relevant.
