ABOUT THE PROJECT AND ROLE:

The client is a company that takes a people-first approach to financial services, using technology to empower consumers to overcome debt and create a brighter financial future. The project is planned to be run for the new division, which focuses on home mortgages and is based on a new architecture, integrated with a lot of new third-party services and full of new features. The project follows Scrum with regular and frequent communications between teams.

Main Responsibilities:

• Lead a cross-functional team of Front-End, Back-End and Automation QA engineers;
• Participate in the system architecture/design work;
• Implement product features following the modern engineering practices;
• Review requirements and address the gaps and discrepancies with the Product Team;
• Perform defects troubleshooting and fixing;
• Actively work with the team on building the common knowledge base of the domain, QA practices, Engineering practices, Tools usage patterns, etc.;
• Help QAs with testing to expedite product increment delivery;

The technical skillset we are looking for:

• 7+ years of software development experience;
• 2+ experience leading a team;
• Strong experience with Java 8+ and Spring Boot 2+;
• General understanding of enterprise and cloud architectures;
• Experience utilizing agile software development approach;
• Experience with relational and NoSQL database;
• Experience with Liquibase, Flyway or similar;
• Good experience with JUnit;
• Experience with JIRA, Git, GitHub, Maven;
• Collaborative mindset with strong interpersonal communication skills;
• Very good English both written and spoken;

Nice to have:

• Experience with GCP, K8S, DataDog, Pub/Sub;
• Experience with Cucumber;
• Experience with CircleCI;
• Experience with Drools;
• Experience with Python/Django;
