Project Description

The project involves developing a sophisticated platform that enhances the food-ordering experience by integrating advanced restaurant technology and optimizing delivery processes. With a focus on scalability, reliability, and seamless user interaction, the platform supports a vast network of restaurant partners and millions of active users. This innovative solution not only connects diners with their favorite local eateries but also offers an improved and streamlined delivery experience, ensuring the highest standards of performance and satisfaction for both diners and restaurant partners.

What You’ll Do:

• Gain expertise in your domain and build highly scalable and reliable additions to the platform;
• Be accountable for delivery, deployment, maintenance, and monitoring the performance of applications and the platform as a whole;
• Evaluate tools, technologies, frameworks, and vendors for the platform alongside other senior team members;
• Write performant and concise code that meets defined standards, review peer code, and ensure the security and scalability of the features you work on;
• Help create the backlog of tech debt and features, suggesting areas for improvement and enhancement;
• Actively collaborate with other team members in the domain and contribute as a team player;

Job Requirements:

• 4+ years of experience building scalable consumer-facing applications;
• Proficiency in Java or similar object-oriented languages;
• Experience designing testable, fault-tolerant, performant software for future scalability;
• Familiarity with complex, distributed systems and AWS or similar cloud platforms;
• Automated testing experience (JUnit, Mockito, JMeter, etc.);
• Knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and distributed databases (Cassandra or similar NoSQL);
• Experience with highly available systems, observability, and resource modeling;
• Familiarity with Docker, CI/CD tools (Gradle, Jenkins, Spinnaker);
• Level of English – from Upper-Intermediate (spoken/written);
