Position Description:

We are seeking a talented Ruby Developer with 5+ years of experience to join our remote tech team at Codery. As a Ruby Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining web applications using Ruby, with a strong focus on backend development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain web applications using Ruby and Ruby on Rails
• Collaborate with front-end developers, designers, and other stakeholders to build and integrate features
• Write clean, scalable, and secure code with an emphasis on performance and maintainability
• Work with databases, preferably PostgreSQL or MySQL
• Develop RESTful APIs for integration with various services
• Perform testing, debugging, and optimization to ensure high performance and security
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving development processes

Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in Ruby and Ruby on Rails development
• Strong proficiency in Ruby and object-oriented programming principles
• Experience with databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL
• Familiarity with front-end technologies like HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
• Solid understanding of RESTful APIs and MVC architecture
• Experience with TDD/BDD using tools like RSpec or Minitest
• Knowledge of Git for version control and agile methodologies
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a remote team environment

Nice to have Qualifications:

• Experience with Cloud platforms (AWS, Heroku) and Docker
• Knowledge of background processing frameworks like Sidekiq
• Familiarity with modern front-end frameworks (React, Vue.js)
