To strengthen our Java team, we are looking for a Senior Java Developer.  As such you would be responsible for the development of one of our products for the insurance and pension sectors.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in experience in Java, JavaScript and preferably experience with JVM (e.g. troubleshooting memory allocation and performances).
• Knowledge of OO design principles and patterns for example SOLID Principles etc.
• Experience with Spring framework and Hibernate ORM.
• Ability to translate use cases and requirements to working implementation. Please give an example.
• Proficient communication skills.
• Good written and verbal skills in English.
• Perseverance to solve complex problems.
• In-depth knowledge in one or more programming languages.
• Understands complex technical aspects and can support technical decisions.
• Strong knowledge of design patterns.
• Focus on performance and maintainability

Responsibilities:

You will assume independent responsibility in a field-tested team for the following range of tasks:

• Produces code that is tested and compliant to coding principles applied within the project.
• Aligns closely with Tech Lead/Solution Architect (as applicable).
• Alerts other team members and project manager of impediments and delays.
• Collaborate with team to develop and release new features.
• Works independently and provides sufficient documentation coding.
• Performs code reviews of yourself and colleagues.
• Assists in estimation and work breakdown of technical tasks.
