Senior JavaScript Engineer

Ciklum is looking for a Senior JavaScript Engineer to join our team full-time in Bulgaria.

About the role:

As a Senior JavaScript Engineer, become a part of a cross-functional development team working for a world-leading professional services organization that specializes in audit, tax, consulting, and advisory services. Your work will involve developing innovative software products for clients in the consumer sector.

Responsibilities:

• Efficiently and effectively translate Figma designs into functional, production-ready features
• Design, develop and thoroughly test responsive web applications using React.js and TypeScript
• Implement and maintain robust, scalable, and secure frontend code
• Integrate frontend components with server-side logic via secure APIs
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features
• Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability
• Troubleshoot and debug issues across the full stack

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
• 5+ years of professional experience in web development
• Expert-level proficiency in React.js and TypeScript and their core principles
• Strong experience with Material UI (MUI) and building and customizing components
• Proficiency with testing frameworks like Jest and React Testing Library
• Experience translating Figma designs into code
• Strong experience with tools like Ladle and Storybook for documenting and showcasing reusable components
• Proficiency with reusable component architecture: utilizing compound components and building flexible, reusable UI systems
• Proven experience in integrating with RESTful APIs
• Experience with advanced automation, including tools like Copilot and Builder.io
• Solid understanding of front-end build tools and modern JavaScript frameworks
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Desirable:

• Strong experience with full stack development, including Node.js, Express, Python, FastAPI, or other similar languages and frameworks
• Hands-on experience with Docker and container orchestration tools (e.g., Kubernetes)
• Experience publishing builds and artifacts to artifact repositories like JFrog
• Exposure to tools like Doppler for secrets and environment management
• Familiarity with database technologies (SQL)
• Experience with cloud platforms such as Google Cloud, AWS, or Azure
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
