Chibi Phoenix is the nest of talented people who share a passion for games, art, and excellence. The studio was formed in 2016, after more than 10 years of different experiences and projects.

We do gamification, video games, and art for clients from different areas: B2B educational games, igaming, art production for board games, to name only a few. Our portfolio also includes entertainment products such as the platform Amilova and Dragonball Multiverse: online communities devoted to comics, manga, indie artists and video games. Chibi Phoenix’s complete network of products entertains over 500 million visitors monthly, with above 300,000 daily active players and a total of over 15 million registered players.

YOUR MISSION, SHOULD YOU CHOOSE TO ACCEPT IT:

• Collaborate with other teams (tech, art, game design) to remove obstacles and deliver excellent features without compromising code quality.
• Write features, provide tech solutions, and estimates, have full control of your work, from specs, to production.
• Improve the current codebase and resolve issues.
• Write effective, clean, and well tested code.
• Improve the internal framework and make development life fun.

WHAT DO WE NEED:

• 5+ years of experience with PHP 7 (experience with php8 is very welcome)
• Good knowledge of SQL (MySQL or MariaDB).
• Experience with VCS systems like Git.
• Experience in working in Linux environment.
• Very good written and verbal English.
• Good knowledge of JavaScript (we use JQuery but interest or experience with React would be nice)
• Ability to show us projects you’ve been part of and that show what good code is. Any participation in Open Source projects would be nice as well.

WHAT WOULD MAKE US SMILE:

• Experience writing tests (PHPUnit, Codeception, etc)
• Experience with Node.js.
• Experience with browser games and social network applications.
• Any experience with Smartphone apps development (Cordova and etc).
• We would really like it if you know how modern frameworks like Yii2, Laravel or Symfony work.
• You can put the terms DRY, KISS, or SOLID in a sentence. 🙂
• You know what a design pattern is and you are (not) afraid to use it!
• You love Manga, Anime and board games.
