Carista is a fast-growing Bulgarian company that loves cars. For the past couple of years, more than half a million drivers worldwide have diagnosed and coded their Audi, VW, BMW, or Lexus with our mobile app. If you are into cars and mobile apps, then we have the right job for you.

We are currently seeking a skilled and driven Android Developer to join our team and contribute to the development and enhancement of our cutting-edge Android app.

What we’re looking for in our candidates:

• A minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in Android development, utilizing Java and/or Kotlin.
• Proven expertise in working on large-scale software projects
• Strong algorithmic thinking, a creative mindset, and the ability to analyze data to uncover patterns
• Bonus points for knowledge and experience in C++
• An additional advantage for familiarity with JNI (Java Native Interface) and Linux distributions
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English

Key Responsibilities:

• Bring our Android user interfaces to life within the Carista app
• Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency
• Work on bug fixing and improving application performance
• Conduct code reviews, and uphold high standards for code quality
• Thoroughly test the app using real cars as well as vehicle simulators to ensure optimal performance
