Well-known retail company with a 25-year history and presence in all major cities across Bulgaria. Currently, they are in the process of a digital transformation and would like to hire an experienced and visionary IT professional to lead this transformation. We are supporting them in this task to recruit their: DIRECTOR INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY DEPT.

Some of the key responsibilities:

• You will lead the company’s digital transformation by developing and implementing an IT strategy aligned with business goals.
• You’ll migrate from SAP ECC to SAP S/4HANA, in partnership with the internal and external experts.
• You have to ensure the architecture, security, and resilience of IT systems, including integration with POS, CRM, and HR platforms.
• You will be involved in managing the internal teams (hardware and SAP administration) as well as external partners, including vendors and integration groups.
• Last but not least, you will collaborate closely with senior management in Sales, Logistics, Marketing, and HR departments to align technological initiatives with strategic priorities.

Essential requirements for the role:

• University degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or (Software) Engineering.
• Previous commercial experience as an IT Director, IT Manager, or CIO, preferably in a retail organisation.
• 5+ years of experience in strategic IT management, including enterprise-level system architectures and SAP environments.
• Hands-on experience in SAP implementation or migration projects, preferably to SAP S/4HANA.
• Strong understanding of system integration, data management, and IT security principles.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills.
• Understanding of retail or FMCG business processes.
• Very good command of English (B2 level) – written and spoken.
