Network Systems Engineer

As our projects continue to grow in scale and complexity, we are looking for an experienced Network Systems Engineer to help design, operate and optimize the infrastructure that powers critical communication services.

Your Mission

As a Network Systems Engineer, you will play a key role in maintaining and evolving the Linux-based platforms, virtualized environments and communication systems that support mission-critical operations.

You will work at the intersection of systems engineering, networking and telecommunications, ensuring reliability, performance and security across complex technology environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate, maintain and optimize Linux-based infrastructure supporting mission-critical communication and telecom services

• Build, configure and manage virtualized environments, including VM provisioning, lifecycle management, storage and networking

• Administer and troubleshoot enterprise IP networks, including VLANs, routing and multicast services

• Support and maintain VoIP platforms and SIP-based communication systems

• Perform advanced troubleshooting across infrastructure layers, including operating systems, virtualization, networking and real-time communications

• Implement system hardening, patch management, backup and recovery procedures

• Configure and maintain high-availability solutions and clustered environments

• Contribute to automation initiatives and operational efficiency improvements

• Develop and maintain technical documentation, operational procedures and infrastructure standards

• Collaborate with engineering teams, technology partners and vendors during deployments, upgrades and integration projects

What We Are Looking For

• 5+ years of experience in Linux systems and network administration within enterprise or telecom environments

• Strong knowledge of Linux systems administration (LPIC-1 / LPIC-2 level or equivalent)

• Experience managing environments with multiple Linux servers and mission-critical services

• Hands-on experience with virtualization technologies such as KVM, Xen, QEMU/libvirt or VMware

• Solid understanding of IP networking principles and enterprise network operations (CCNA level or equivalent)

• Experience with VoIP technologies, Asterisk and SIP-based communication systems

• Knowledge of high-availability architectures, clustering technologies and service continuity principles

• Experience with configuration management and infrastructure automation

• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills

• Fluent English

Nice to Have

• Experience with openSUSE environments

• RPM repository administration and maintenance

• Operational knowledge of MySQL and/or PostgreSQL

• Experience with keepalived and virtual IP failover configurations

• Familiarity with monitoring, logging and observability platforms

• Experience in telecommunications, transportation, defence or critical infrastructure projects
