Here at the R&D Operations team we investigate prototypes and optimize the internal company processes, helping the entire R&D organization (800+ engineers globally) to be more effective and productive. We also develop, maintain and operate a variety of tools and frameworks that are used on a daily basis by the company. Those include both commercial applications (Jira, Confluence, Artifactory, etc.), open-source products (Jenkins, Gitlab, etc.), and in-house developed systems.

The entire R&D organization and not only counts on us to provide best-in-class services that are continuously perfected and optimized. We are also quite diverse – R&D Operations consist of developers, data scientists, system administrators, and DevOps engineers, all working together to achieve our goals.

Responsibilities

We are seeking a motivated and hands-on DevOps Engineer to join our DevOps group with a specific focus on applications such as Jira, Confluence, Gitlab, Artifactory.. In this role, you will play a key part in maintaining and optimizing the R&D tools infrastructure. This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual passionate about DevOps and eager to grow within a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Administering and hardening Linux servers
• Bash/Python scripting with advanced API knowledge
• Automation of routine tasks
• Maintaining Jira and/or Confluence at least on a project administration level – preferably on a system administration level
• Managing Jenkins/Gitlab CI/CD or other build systems
• Managing Artifactories/Nexuses
• Help with the architecture tasks of different projects – examples: provide pros and cons of different solutions of specific task / build and document disaster recovery procedures.
• Handling Control Management systems – at least one of the following: Gitlab, Github Enterprise, Bitbucket, SVN
• Leading and managing DevOps projects from inception to completion
• Mentoring and leading team members to ensure successful project delivery

Qualifications

• Previous work experience in a similar position
• Experience with AWS
• Strong Linux administration skills
• Strong collaboration skills
• Application management experience, working with application vendors
• Strong troubleshooting skills
• Shell/Python scripting skills with API calls
• Experience with Jenkins/Gitlab CI/CD
• Database knowledge – PSQL, MariaDB, Redshift, etc…
• Experience with containers
• Bonus points if you have been involved in migrating one of those to another

• Experience with VMware virtualization
• Programming experience
• Advanced networking knowledge
• OS hardening experience
• Experience with k8s
• Windows server administration experience
• Monitoring experience – Nagios/Zabbix/Zenoss/Prometheus/Graphana/etc…
• Experience with Sonarqube and/or Crucible/Fisheye
