    The Role:

    We are in the process to build a market-leading, digital-first, ‘Challenger’ bank for corporates and funds, providing differentiated banking services to Apex’s clients globally. To support our Digital Bank, we are looking for a hands-on Technical Business Analyst to join our team.

    The primary responsibilities of the Business Analyst will be to work with the CTO and key stakeholders, writing technical specification documentation and architectural design artefacts, assisting the development team during the development phase and ensure that the solution delivered matches with requirements.

    The successful applicant will be able to quickly understand the business strategy and objectives and act as a link between the business and developers. It will be necessary to successfully handle multiple tasks, projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment, adaptability is key.

     Key duties and responsibilities:

    • Define and document detailed technical specifications based on business processes and requirements. This includes working with stakeholders to deliver solutions with a smooth transition through to the production environment
    • Support technology team on day-to-day technical processes and on any technical issues within the system infrastructure
    • Produce technical and end user product documentation
    • Ability to clearly communicate ideas to stakeholders
    • Interpreting business requirements and translating these into viable solutions
    • Write test scripts and support development and testing during the build and test phases
    • Identify new opportunities for technology
    • Participation in and ownership of ad hoc projects
    • Ability to identify opportunities for process improvements
    • Management and administration of Jira and Confluence platforms

    Experience and Knowledge:

    • Experience of 5+ years working as a business analyst / technical business analyst
    • Experience managing projects in Banking Environments
    • Strong analytical and investigation skills, with an ability to resolve issues in a high-pressure environment in terms of banking process
    • Motivated self-starter who can work in a team environment and without micro-management
    • The ability to adapt to changing priorities and varied decision-making scenarios
    • Excellent language skills in English
    • Experience with UML, BMPN or other modelling notations
    • Excellent stakeholder management skills
    • Be able to plan and track activities/tasks
    • Solid Visio / PowerPoint / XL
    • Solid JIRA and Confluence
    • Experience of Cloud (Azure / AWS), DevOps and Containerization (Kubernetes) and API / microservices solutions a distinct advantage
