Advise is a French software development company which specializes in Insurance-Tech solutions. Advise has its own Insurance Products and aims “to be the insurance present in every moment of life”. Advise has offices in three countries – France, Bulgaria and Tunisia. Since 2013 our Bulgarian offices are located in Sofia and Plovdiv. Across those three countries Advise has about 140 employees. Advise Tech is the technical arm of Advise and is responsible for developing all tools and systems that our employees, partners and customers use. Advise Tech’s team is composed of talented PHP, Full-stack and JS developer professionals. The IT team is relatively small (10-15 people) but very cohesive.

Currently we are looking for DATA ENGINEER.

The role of the Data Engineer is to manage data synchronization between various tools and databases, extract and analyze that data and to produce reports.

The mission is to optimize the acquisition and retention channels and consequently the acquisition costs.

The Data Engineer is going to be responsible for all data connections between our tools, ensuring excellent data synchronization. The person in this role will work closely with the IT team.

Responsibilities:

• Create, edit, monitor ETL tasks for data synchronization
• Update the technical documentation related to the use of an ETL and its development
• Manage the optimization of multiple data sources (CRM, BI tools & Others)
• Ensure and optimize automatic data synchronization between systems
• Propose Data Lake, Data warehouse, Statistics Data DB structures and set up requests
• Design and update a Data Book, coordinate its distribution within the company
• Coordinate the implementation of data changes with the IT team
• Collaborate with support teams (production, sales, customer experience, marketing, finance, etc.)
• Update databases by adding missing data and fixing data errors
• Ensure the technical availability of data
• Maintain the reliability, consistency and relevance of internal data and organize it effectively
• Propose areas for improvement of the quality of the data

Requirements:

• 3+ professional experience in the data management field
• Good knowledge of R&D Data lake Cloud, Amazon Cloud, Google Cloud
• Programming knowledge (Java and/or Python)
• Experience with Talend ETL will be considered as a plus
• Ability to analyze, interpret, and organize large amounts of data
• Excellent communication skills to communicate complex problems using non-technical terms
• In-depth understanding of modern database and information technologies
• Excellent math, problem-solving, and analytical skills
• Excellent time management skills and the ability to work towards meeting multiple deadlines simultaneously
