Your daily routine would include:

• Designing, developing, and maintaining SQL databases;
• Creating and modifying database schemas, tables, views, indexes, and stored procedures;
• Writing and optimizing SQL queries to ensure maximum performance and efficiency;
• Analyzing and troubleshooting slow-running queries and improving their performance;
• Working closely with application developers to design and optimize database interactions.

We’ll know you can make it if you have:

• Proficiency in SQL and experience with various database management systems (e.g. Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL);
• Strong understanding of database design, normalization, and data modeling;
• Experience with query optimization and performance tuning;
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues.

The following will be considered an advantage:

• Experience with programming languages such as Python, Java, or C#;
• Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate, Oracle Certified Professional, MySQL Database Administrator, or equivalent.
